  • I’ve just turned the game on and my first mission is to bury a dead cat?…

This is going to be an experience.

Abo Khashem is a comedy RPG developed by Moving Dimensions where you control a man with a huge nose as he wakes with amnesia. What ensues is an adventure with your talking Lizard companion as you travel together through Torrid a city infested with cats with cardboard boxes on their heads for a mysterious reason which you must piece together as well as your past. Sound crazy? Yes. Yes it is. But is that a bad thing? No. Not at all.

This game has a lot of laugh out loud moments. From a tailor who says he may get eye cancer by looking at your horrible house to walking around battering cats with a rolling pin and a banana to “save them”

Speaking of the rolling pin and banana combat in this game is fun with hundreds of combos to customise with different weapons with names like “Matrix Spin, Shadow Launch, Weed Wacker and Comet” These combos are unlocked as you use different types of weapons like candy cane, baguette or water cooler. The combat is something I enjoyed the most out of this game.

Not only is there a whole city to explore but portals in dumpsters to Catopia. A kingdom where cats rule and humans are slaves. Dungeons where you can go through collecting coins buying legendary weapon and defeating bosses is another fun aspect of the game. I found myself in these dungeons a lot trying to find every last coin in the place before I defeated the huge cat at the end. There is also a top down mini game for your Lizard companion where you run and collect coins while trying to be knocked out.

The music is great and really fits in with the atmosphere in the game. If you know me you know that music plays a huge part for me in computer games.

The graphics are ok but nothing special and the city feels to under populated with the Ai of drivers being terrible. Talking about driving I HATE the driving in this game. It is extremely overly hard. One knock on the curb and you launch yourself into the atmosphere. You can buy new cars that go faster ect but I felt I really didn’t want to especially with how bad the driving is.

Another aspect that I liked was the business end of things. You can buy commercial and residential properties in the city, hire staff and make lots of money. It seems like this game has something for everyone. I enjoy this game as I enjoy laughing. If you enjoy laughing get this game if you want a slick polished game with amazing graphics don’t.

    Abo Khashem

All in all Abo Khashem is a laugh out loud RPG with aspects of the game that will appeal to most players. If not for anything else you can log in after a hard day’s work and take out your frustrations on the hordes of cats that you can thrash to a pulp with a water cooler.

    • Hilarious cut scenes
    • Hundreds of combat combos
    • Loads to do
    • Music
    • Driving
    • Under populated city
