Dovetail Games has announced today, Fishing Sim World, calling it “the most authentic fishing experience ever made.” Fishing Sim World will be released on 18th September for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Check out the trailer and more info below.
Feel the adrenaline rush of landing trophy largemouth bass and the thrill of fighting huge carp and monster pike as Fishing Sim World perfectly combines realistic game physics and accurate fish AI for an authentic fishing experience that will have you hooked from the start.
As you rise from beginner to pro, you can improve your skills, upgrade your equipment and master each venue. You don’t have to fish alone either, fishing with four friends in 4-player multiplayer, comparing catches on real-time leaderboards. The battle doesn’t end against your friends with live tournaments against opponents from around the world, competing in a series of events as you fight for the right to be crowned Fishing Sim World champion.
You’re not restricted to fishing from land either, as you can now get out onto the water with your boat, activate your sonar, and find a perfect spot to fish. You’ll need every advantage you can get, as each of the 18 species of fish has their own advanced AI and fish behavioural systems. From the water temperature to the bait choice, you have to learn how the fish react to the conditions around them and adapt your strategy to catch your prey.
Fishing Sim World is fully licensed, as Dovetail Games brings the biggest names in the industry from North America and Europe together for this celebration of fishing. You can select from hundreds of rods, reels and lures, from names such as Bass Cat Boats, Bill Lewis (Rat-L-Trap), Duckett and Korda, as well as many more offering thousands of different combinations to find the winning formula.
From the glacial Lake Boulder set in Upstate New York to the sun-kissed Lake Johnson in Florida or the famous Gigantica Main Lake in France to a challenging stretch of the UK’s Grand Union Canal, Fishing Sim World will take you to seven beautiful locations across the US and Europe, each offering their own unique challenges.
“We are delighted to be announcing Fishing Sim World, and or passion for simulation and realism has ensured this is the most authentic fishing game on the market,” said Mark Greenway, Fishing Sim World Director at Dovetail Games. “We cannot wait for fishing fans to take on the challenges of Bass and Predator Fishing, as well as catching huge Carp!”
Whether you’re a beginner picking up a fishing rod for the first time or a veteran looking to put your real-life angling skills to the test, Fishing Sim World has something for everyone.
