  • The Foundry Dock DLC for Dovetail Games Euro Fishing introduces a new setting, new boss fish to catch and a bunch of new achievements. A far cry from the lakes that come with the base game, the Foundry Dock is an urban map set within a dock side, fitting in with real life modern redevelopments, the Foundry Dock features an old steel works factory surrounded by cranes and modern tower blocks. Dovetail has done a fine job of capturing what the majority of docks look like these days.

Aside the new setting, the dock contains 20 new boss fish to seek out and catch, as of writing, I’ve caught a few boss Carp, and a boss Catfish. There’s sadly no new fish species added, with the usual Carp, Catfish, Tench, Bream and Roach to be found. I really enjoyed playing the base game when it first released, and I’m glad to see some of the bugs I mentioned in my review have since been addressed.

Playing the Foundry Dock has gotten me back into Euro Fishing, the change of scenery is welcomed. However, priced at £8.99/$10.99/€10.99 I would have liked to have seen some new species of fish to catch and new tackle. As it is solely a new map I feel that it’s slightly over priced and may only appeal to hardcore fans, the addition of new achievements may entice some achievement hunters out there too. Newcomers to the game will be glad to know that the main game and DLC can be purchased together at a slightly cheaper price in the Urban Edition.

It's great to see Dovetail are continually updating Euro Fishing and adding new stuff along the way. The Foundry Dock DLC is a welcome change to the more natural lakes of the base game, although the price does feel a little steep for what it is. New fish species and new tackle would have made the price a little easier to swallow.

    • New setting
    • New boss fish
    • New achievements
    • Feels a little pricey for a new map
